An Idiot's Guide to Wine - Stand-Up Comedy Show With Wine Tasting Phoenix reviews
Hate to admit it - A Big Letdown.
I expected to be blown away when I went into the An Idiot's Guide to Wine - Stand-Up Comedy Show With Wine Tasting on 4/12... Expecting Anthony to give a legendary Rock & Roll front-man performance... Expecting to hear all of my favorite songs...
These things just DID NOT happen.
The SHORT HOUR AND A HALF they did play sounded awesome musically... But fans expect more... So can The Red Hot Chili Peppers !!!!! If older bands and bands with thinner catalogs can go out and play 3 HOURS...
They left many prime-cuts out of the setlist !!! DID NOT PLAY: Soul To Squeeze, Around The World, Snow, Suck My Kiss, Breaking The Girl, Tell Me Baby, and several others !!!!
I was MOST DISAPPOINTED in the lack of interaction the band had with the audience... HE STOOD STILL WITH HIS EYES CLOSED FOR THE MOST OF THE SHOW !!! I've seen live clips from years past and expected Anthony Kiedis to dance and dazzle the audience... At the end of the show, Anthony mumbles something into the mic, slings it down and runs off-stage... Leaving the other 3 to close-out !!! I don't know if he was mad or sick that night or what was going on with him, but I expected much better... Flea was the only member that seemed to be trying to keep things interesting onstage !!!
I hope this was a fluke, because I don't know how they managed to sell out this arena and so many others with a live-show like this !!!
